Prior to his foray into the financial sector, Gan's career began in the Singapore Civil Service, where he served in the Prime Minister's Office. In this role, he conducted risk assessments and horizon scanning, providing valuable insights to steer policy-making.

With 15 years of experience in the banking and financial markets across Singapore and Malaysia, Gan has developed expertise across a range of areas, including economics, interest rates, foreign exchange, and commodity research.
