Banking with a Purpose: How RHB is Connecting with Our Community

At RHB, sustainability and social responsibility are central to what we do. Beyond providing banking services, we are driven by a deeper purpose — to build lasting relationships with our customers, support the well-being of our communities, and protect the environment for future generations.
 

Our commitment to these values has been recognised recently at the Marketing Interactive PR Awards 2024. In recognition of our ESG and social responsibility efforts, Luke Diep, Head of Brand Marketing & Communications, was honoured with the prestigious Gold award for PR Champion of the Year. This accolade underscores RHB's dedication to building strong relationships and communicating our role in advancing community well-being.

Strengthening Connections with the Wider Community

Luke’s leadership in community engagement initiatives has been instrumental in earning this recognition. Under his guidance, RHB has championed numerous initiatives aimed at making a tangible impact. 
 

One such initiative is the RHB Beach Cleanup, where 40 RHB staff members and their families came together and collected 75 bags of trash, weighing a total of 519kg, from Singapore’s shorelines. This initiative not only preserves our natural environment but also fosters a sense of shared responsibility among our employees and families. 
 

Similarly, close to 50 RHB volunteers participated in a recent spring cleaning event at Chen Su Lan Methodist Children's Home, benefitting 95 resident children and youths. In collaboration with Filos Community Services, RHB also sponsored and distributed goodie bags containing food rations and essential household supplies to 700 low-income households. 
 

These efforts reflect our belief that social responsibility and sustainability are not optional, but fundamental building blocks of RHB.
