Terms and Conditions


1.This Promotion is open to all existing Personal customers (“Referrers”) of RHB Bank Berhad (“RHB” or “the Bank”) who successfully refer new to bank customer(s) (“NTB”) (“Referred Person(s)”) to open a RHB Premier Plus Account (“Eligible Account”) (for the avoidance of doubt this will not include the conversion of account in single status to joint account) between 2 January 2019 to 31 December 2019 (“Promotion Period”), both dates inclusive.
2.NTB refers to those who have not maintained any RHB Personal Account(s) for the past twelve (12) months.
3.To qualify for the Promotion, the Referred Person needs to deposit at least S$200,000 in the form of New Deposits (“New Deposits”) with the Bank within three (3) months from the date of account opening to be a Qualified Premier Customer, and maintain the aforesaid minimum New Deposits for a minimum period of six (6) months from the date of account opening in order to be deemed as a successful Referral.
4.New Deposits must be made with fresh funds and excludes any fund transfers from existing RHB accounts or RHB cheque, cashier’s orders or demand drafts.
5.There is no limit to the number of Referrals and/or Referred Person that can be referred by the Referrer during the Promotion Period. However, the referral of each Referred Person shall be considered as only one (1) Referral regardless of the number of new RHB Premier Plus Account opened by the same Referred Person.
6.To qualify for this Promotion, the Referred Person must have obtained the appropriate consent from the Referrer to permit the Referred Person to disclose the Referrer’s personal data to RHB for the purpose of this Promotion. The Referred Person must sign and submit the duly completed the RHB Premier Customer Referral Form with the RHB Account Opening Application Form.
7.By participating in the Promotion, the Referred Person acknowledges that the Referrer is or will be aware that the Referred Person has met or will meet the eligibility criteria for the Promotion (where applicable).
8.The Referred Person must not be an employee of the Bank.
9.The Referrer must not be the account holder (single or joint) of the RHB Premier Plus Account with the Referred Person.
10.The Bank reserves the right to determine the eligibility of a Referral for the purposes of the Promotion in its sole and absolute discretion without the need to provide any reasons whatsoever.
11.Successful Referrers who have met all the terms and conditions during the Promotional Period will be entitled to receive shopping vouchers (Gift) corresponding to the number of successful Referrals made, as follows:

12.Each referral resulting in the opening of a RHB Premier Plus Account will be considered a successful Referral and be entitled to one (1) Gift.
13.A reward redemption letter will be sent to all Referrers within three (3) calendar months from the date of the successful opening of the Eligible Account.
14.The reward redemption letter will be valid for one (1) month from the date of issuance and only original copies of the reward redemption letters will be accepted at the participating merchants.
15.The Bank reserves the right to replace the Gift with an item of similar value at its sole discretion at any time without prior notice and without liability.
16.The Gift is not refundable or exchangeable for other goods and services or other items of any kind and is not transferable.
17.In the event the Referred Person closes the Eligible Account within six (6) months from the date of account opening, or breaches any of the terms and conditions contained herein or if the Referrer no longer qualifies for the Gift, RHB may in its discretion forfeit the Gift and where the Gift has already been awarded, the Bank reserves the right to deduct a sum equivalent to the value of the Gift for that Eligible Account from the Referrer’s account with the Bank. Any expenses or costs resulting from such a deduction will be borne by the Referrer. By participating in this Promotion, the Referrer is deemed to have expressly given his authorization for the Bank to make such deductions in refund of the Gift.
18.This Promotion is not valid in conjunction with other privileges or promotions organized by RHB unless otherwise stated.
19.RHB reserves the right to make any changes where it deems necessary in its absolute discretion to the terms and conditions (hereinafter referred to as “the Terms and Conditions”) contained herein at any point in time and without prior notification.
20.RHB’s decision on all matters relating to the Promotion, including but without limitation to, the time of receipt of the Customer’s Referral Form by RHB, is final, conclusive and binding. RHB shall not be obliged to give any reason or enter into any correspondence with any person on any matter concerning the Promotion.
21.RHB’s Terms and Conditions Governing Accounts shall apply.
22.If there are any inconsistency/discrepancies between these Terms and Conditions and any advertising, promotional, publicity and other materials relating to or in connection with this Promotion, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail.
23.These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore and Customer shall be deemed to have agreed to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.
24.A person who is not a party to these Terms and Conditions has no right under Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act Cap 53B, Singapore to enforce any of these Terms and Conditions.
25.Deposit Insurance Scheme
Singapore dollar deposits of non-bank depositors are insured by the Singapore Deposit Insurance Corporation, for up to S$75,000 in aggregate per depositor per Scheme member by law. Foreign currency deposits, dual currency investments, structured deposits and other investment products are not insured.
