1.1What is the RHB TravelFX App (App)? RHB TravelFX App (App) is a mobile application that is to be used to manage your RHB TravelFX Multi-Currency Card. The App allows you to do the following:
  • Load value to your RHB TravelFX Multi-Currency Card
  • Convert Singapore Dollar (SGD) to selected currencies at favourable FX rates 24/7
1.2What is the RHB TravelFX Multi-Currency Card (Card)? RHB TravelFX Multi-Currency Card (Card) is a stored value card that you can use to do the following:
  • Perform withdrawals globally for free* at any VISA PLUS ATMs outside of Singapore
  • Make online or in-store purchases worldwide in the local currency of the country of the items that you are purchasing
*certain ATM operators may charge a fee

1.7Who is the issuer of the Card? Wirecard Singapore Pte. Ltd is the issuer of the Card.
RHB Bank Berhad is the distributor of the Card.
1.8Which currencies am I able to store in the RHB TravelFX card wallet? The RHB TravelFX card wallet is able to hold the following 11 currencies: -
  • Singapore Dollar (SGD)
  • Australian Dollar (AUD)
  • Canadian Dollar (CAD)
  • Euro (EUR)
  • Great Britain Pound (GBP)
  • Hong Kong Dollar (HKD)
  • Japanese Yen (JPY)
  • New Zealand Dollar (NZD)
  • Swiss Franc (CHF)
  • Thai Baht (THB)
  • United States Dollar (USD)
(Collectively defined as “Supported Currency”)
1.9Does the Card provide any travel insurance?Yes. If you buy a round trip sea/land/air tickets using the Card or make hotel reservations/bookings with the Card, you will be insured by Aviva’s travel personal accident policy which covers accidental death and permanent disablement when traveling outside of Singapore, for up to S$500,000. 1.10How do I apply or use the Concierge Services?Call our Customer Contact Centre at 1800 323 0100 (Within Singapore) or +603 9145 1388 (outside Singapore).
List of available Concierge Services are as follows:
  • Passport, visa and customs information, emergency travel arrangement provisions
  • Specific country and major city information
  • Translation and message assistance
  • Transportation information
  • Restaurant, health club, entertainment events and shopping information and assistance
  • Gift arrangement
  • ATM location information
  • Weather forecast
  • Business services
Please note that you bear all expenses or costs arising from the provision of Concierge Services.
1.11Do I enjoy VISA Platinum Benefits? Yes. You do get the benefits of VISA Platinum rewards and privileges (except the VISA concierge Services). For more information, please click here
Note: The Concierge Services is provided under RHB Travel FX Multi-Currency Card and not through VISA. Please refer to 1.11 for the list of available Concierge Services.
1.12Who holds or is responsible for my money when load or top-up my Card? In funding the RHB TravelFX Card, where is my money stored?

When you load / top-up your Card, money is placed with Wirecard as the issuer of the Card. You are not placing moneys with RHB Bank Berhad. Wirecard Singapore Pte. Ltd. is the issuer and holder of the Card stored value facility and is responsible for the moneys.

The Card is a prepaid stored value facility which allows you to hold prepaid stored value in your Card account and use it to transact using the balance in your card account. 2Applying for RHB TravelFX
2.1Who can apply for the Card? You must:
  • Be 18 years old and above
  • Have and able to provide proof of Singapore or Malaysia residential address
  • Have a Singapore NRIC, MyKad or International Passport
  • Have a valid e-mail address
  • Have a valid personal mobile number
  • Have a current mailing address either in Singapore or Malaysia (non PO Box)
2.2Which documents are acceptable as proof of Singapore or Malaysia residential address? Acceptable documents are as follows:
  • Singapore NRIC or MyKad
  • Current bank statement from a bank operating in Singapore or Malaysia
  • Utility or tele-communication bills from a service provider operating in Singapore or Malaysia
  • Singapore or Malaysia Government issued documents
2.3Do I need to open a RHB account to use the Card?No. You do not have to open any bank account with RHB to use the App or Card.
2.4I have applied for the Card. When will I receive the Card?Once you have submitted your application, it will typically take 1-2 working days for processing before you receive an update via email and in-App notification. Following this status update, you will receive the Card within 7 working days if your application is successful.
2.5What phone models and operating systems does the App support?The App now supports Android OS 7.x – 10.x, iPhone 6 and newer models that runs on iOS 11.x – 13.x.
3Managing RHB TravelFX Card & App
3.1How many days of transaction history can I view on the App?You are able to view transaction history up to the past 90 days.
3.2Where can I use RHB the Card?The Card is accepted at any VISA supported merchants worldwide, VISA supported online merchants and VISA PLUS ATMs outside of Singapore.
3.3Can I use an overseas ATM machine to check my balance?You are able to check the balance in your Card wallet at any VISA PLUS ATM. However, certain ATM operators may charge a fee for balance enquiry. To avoid unnecessary charges, please use the App to check your balance.
3.4Can I withdraw cash from ATMs in Singapore with the Card?

No. You are only able to use the Card to withdraw cash at VISA PLUS ATMs outside of Singapore.

You can view the locations of VISA PLUS ATM via the App.

3.5What should I do if my Card is lost/stolen/damaged?

Follow the steps below: -
1. Log in or Sign in to the App
2. Go to Card settings
3. Select ‘Report card as lost or damage’

Your card will be blocked and a replacement card will be sent to you within 7 working days.

If you need further assistance, call our 24-hour Customer Contact Centre at 1800 323 0100 (within Singapore) or +603 9145 1388 (outside Singapore).

3.6What should I do if I lose my Card and require emergency cash while travelling?Please contact our 24-hour Customer Contact Centre at +603 9145 1388 to report the loss of the card and request for emergency cash. VISA will issue you with a temporary card and provide you with emergency cash.
3.7Is there a cap in the amount of emergency cash that I can obtain from VISA?Emergency cash is limited to USD500 (or its equivalent) or the available balance in your wallet, whichever is lower.
3.8What should I do if I lose my mobile device in Singapore or overseas?

You should immediately contact your local telecommunications network provider to terminate your lost SIM card and get a replacement SIM card at your convenience.

You can still continue to use your Card.

3.9What if I suspect that my card has been misused or that the transactions on my card are not authorised by me?

Please contact our 24-hour Customer Contact Centre at 1800 323 0100 (within Singapore) / +603 9145 1388 (outside Singapore) to report within 90 days of the transaction.

Alternatively, you may download the WIRECARD CARDHOLDER’S LETTER OF DISPUTE (PDF) that is available here and email the completed form to fxcards_cs@rhbgroup.com. Wirecard will investigate the transactions and you will be notified of the outcome within 60 days after Wirecard has received your report or the Dispute Form .

3.10How do I withdraw the balance in my Card wallet and close my account?

If you are a RHB Bank Current or Savings account holder in Singapore, you can use the App to transfer the Card Wallet balance to your RHB Bank account.

If you do not have a RHB Bank account, you can withdraw the remaining balance in your Card wallet and close your account at any of RHB Bank branches in Singapore. The withdrawal of the remaining balance will be in Singapore Dollars, either in cash or cashier’s order.

Withdrawal amount of SGD1,000 or more will be made by way of a cashier’s order/cheque and RHB Bank will charge an administrative fee of $20 per cashier’s order.

3.11I have recently changed my home address. How can I update this info on my Card?

For RHBNow online banking users, you are able to update your personal details through this platform.

For non RHB customers, you may proceed to the nearest RHB Bank branch/ business centre to update your residential or mailing address.

4Topping up/ Cash Withdrawals/ Making Purchases Using RHB TravelFX
4.1How do I top-up the RHB TravelFX Multi-Currency card wallet?

You can top-up via the below two methods: -

a) RHB Bank savings/current account:

  • I. Login to the App.
  • II. Select “Wallet” and click on “Top-Up”
  • III. Select “RHB Bank”
  • IV. Select the relevant account to transfer funds from
  • V. Enter the SGD amount to top-up and click “Top-Up Wallet”
  • VI. Confirm the SGD amount to top-up and click on “Yes Confirm”
  • VII. This transaction is immediate and free of charge

b) FAST participating bank:

  • I. Log on to the internet/mobile banking platform of the FAST participating bank where you maintain your account;
  • II. Set up your RHB TravelFX account as a payee with the bank, if you have not done so. You can refer to ‘How do I set up RHB TravelFX card wallet on my payee list of accounts maintained with other FAST participating banks – Q4.2.
  • III. Do a transfer from your bank account to your RHB TravelFX account. The transfer is effected through the FAST payment gateway.

4.2How do I set up RHB TravelFX card wallet on my payee list of accounts maintained with other FAST participating banks? Follow the steps below: -
  • I. Login to your preferred bank’s internet or mobile banking platform
  • II. Select Fund Transfer to Other Bank
  • III. Select Add Payee and enter your preferred payee name
  • IV. Select RHB Bank and key in your card wallet number (printed at the back of the card)
4.3What is the top-up limit for the Card?You can top-up a maximum of SGD5,000 per month and SGD30,000 per year

4.5Am I able to purchase items that are priced in the currencies that are not one of the 11 Supported Currency?Yes. For example, you can use the Card to buy an item priced in Malaysian Ringgit. The currencies stored in your wallet will be used (according to a pre-set order) to convert to Malaysian Ringgit for the purchase at an exchange rate set by VISA.
4.6What is the maximum balance allowed in the RHB TravelFX card wallet?Your card wallet is able to store up to SGD5,000 (or its equivalent) at any one time.
4.7Am I able to withdraw from overseas ATMs in the currencies that are not one of the Supported Currency?Yes. For example, you may withdraw Malaysian Ringgit from any VISA PLUS ATM in Malaysia. The currencies stored in your card wallet will be used according to a pre-set order to convert to Malaysian Ringgit at an exchange rate set by VISA.
4.8How much can I withdraw from VISA Plus ATMs outside of Singapore?

4.9What if I wish to cash out the currency balances in my Card?

You can withdraw the remaining balance in your Card wallet at any of RHB Bank branches/business centres in Singapore. The withdrawal of the remaining balance will be in Singapore Dollars. If you have any balances in foreign currency, please convert the foreign currency to Singapore Dollars before making the withdrawal.

You can choose to withdraw any remaining balance of less than SGD1,000 either by cash or cashier’s order

Withdrawal amount of SGD1,000 or more will be made by way of a cashier’s order/cheque and RHB Bank will charge an administrative fee of $20 per cashier’s order.

If you have a RHB Bank account in Singapore, you can use the App to transfer the Card Wallet balance to your RHB Bank account.

5.2Will I be charged foreign exchange fee when I transact overseas?There are no additional charges when you use the Card for any purchase transactions as long as you spend in the 11 supported currencies. However, transactions carried out in an unsupported currency will be based on VISA foreign currency rates.
5.3Will I be charged foreign exchange fee and conversion rate when I withdraw cash overseas from an ATM?There are no additional charges when using the Card for ATM withdrawal overseas. However, certain ATM operators may charge a fee and you are advised to check with the ATM operators on their fees and there is a limit of 20 ATM withdrawals per year.
5.4What is the pre-set order of the wallet priority?

When you perform any transactions or withdraw currencies which are not available in your Card wallet, the transaction amount will be debited from the available balance, in the wallet priority set below.
