Special Financial Relief Programme – Fee Waiver FAQ

1. What is the SFRP - fee waiver relief?

As part of the relief packages that the financial industry, in collaboration with MAS, has put forth to help individuals affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, we will be offering waivers for fall below fees on deposit accounts and fees and charges pertaining to GIRO arrangements.

2. What are fall below fees?

A fall-below fee is an administrative charge posted when your deposit account balance falls below the minimum Average Daily Balance (ADB) required.

3. Are all deposit accounts eligible?

Only individual deposit accounts are eligible for the fee waivers.

4. What are the average daily balances required and how much are the fall below fees?

5. How do I apply for the waiver?

Kindly visit any of our branches during branch operating hours or call us at 1800 323 0100 to request for the waivers.

6. How long can I enjoy this waiver?

As part of the relief package, we will offer waivers up till 31 December 2020. However, do note that waivers are for the specific fees charged during the statement month. Should your fees (e.g. fall below fees) be charged again in a subsequent month, kindly call us at our hotline to request for another waiver.

7. How will I know if my application was unsuccessful?

We will provide a follow-up call to inform you should your application be unsuccessful.
