Senior Analyst Programmer - Business Banking (Support Unit & DW)

Job Description

Primary Objectives:

  • Implement business solution that meet user needs in a cost effective way by eliciting business requirements through collaborative communication with all stakeholders and vendors
  • Analyze, design and develop technical solutions according to business requirements
  • Providing accurate, complete and up to date system documentation
  • 99% uptime for critical IT applications
  • Provide training to users to ensure correct usage and proper adoption upon rollout
  • Oversee the day-to-day support for business users on any system issues or constraints
  • Oversee the QA of software implementation
Key Responsibilities: 

Initiatives & Operations

  • Act as an interface between the Bank’s business users and the various IT support groups / vendors / Head Office
  • Engage all impacted stakeholders to elicit business needs and requirements
  • Conduct face to face (where feasible) collaborative requirement workshops engaging all stakeholders & vendor ensuring issues and constraints are considered
  • Analyze requirements and document functional and nonfunctional requirements in FSD
  • Conduct walkthrough of FSD tog with stakeholders and ensure sign off
  • Review and streamline workflow processes and propose solutions / specifications that meets business needs
  • Review UAT test cases to ensure completeness
  • Support business users in UAT ensuring signoff
  • Analyze SIT/UATdefects to identify requirement gaps and resolve with users
  • Conduct training / briefing to users for changes/rollout
  • Co-ordinate and manage project deliverables to ensure timely and successful implementation
  • Keep abreast of developments and innovations in the application landscape
  • Manage vendor deliverables and negotiation cost
  • Ensure prompt and efficient resolution of application downtime 
  • Provide support to users daily on system issues
  • Ensure system documentation is up to date
  • Support Live verification and DR drills
  • As co-Lead BA provide backup support and assistance to Key BA for production issues, user queries and any other assistance as needed
  • As Key Lead BA ensure co-Lead BA is kept abreast of changes through regular sharing

Qualifications

Formal education:

  • Diploma / Bachelor Degree 

Preferred level of Experience (by years/function/industry):

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in supporting Support Unit applications in an established financial services institution
  • Experience in business analysis and application support
  • Excellent working knowledge in MAS requirements
  • Project management and Testing skillsets preferred

Other skills:

  • Strong communication and documentation skills, well organized, customer focus and reliable
  • Self-motivated and willing to change status quo
  • Knowledge of K2 and Sharepoint
